Passion for Art:

✰ As a kid, I had always loved art, but it wasn't until I was around 15 that my love for art exploded.

✰ I used art as my outlet for life, so whenever I was stressed I went straight to art!

✰ I am by no means a great artist but I still love to use my imagination and create new pieces.

Art--->Literacy:

✰ Art has helped me with my literacy skills, and vice versa.

✰ When I first started drawing I would have a large amount of artist block, but I was able to overcome it when I used the same brainstorming process I did with my literacy.

✰ I now find myself thinking about my artistic creativity when I try to come up with ideas for an English essay!

Two years later, now 16 years old, and that massive passion for art maintains prominent.

Previously, I never understood the joy that art brought to you through expressing creativity.

Creativity, something I only used with my literacy, now drove my passion for art. Sure, it took

guidance and persistence for me to stick with art, but it proved well worth it. In one summer, my

bookworm self discovered a new passion for literacy in the form of art.
